The Power of Slowing Down: Why Longer Therapy Sessions Can Change Everything
Life moves fast. Our healing shouldn’t have to.
Many therapy models work within a standard 55-minute hour, which can feel rushed—especially if you’re doing deep trauma work or EMDR. Often, you’re just getting into the heart of something when it’s time to wrap up. That’s why I offer extended sessions and intensives.
A 90-minute session gives us time to fully explore without rushing through grounding or integration. A 2-hour session or half-day intensive creates space for profound shifts—space to sink in, do the work, and come back up in a way that feels settled.
Slowing down means you leave feeling complete, not cracked open. It’s not just more time—it’s more depth, more safety, and more lasting impact.
